Frequently asked questions

What’s up with the floaty stuff?

Often referred to as “mother” or “mushroom,” the strands of culture you find floating in kombucha are part of the SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast). They are naturally occurring and offer many health benefits. Your drink has not gone bad, it’s just showing off what it’s made of!

I just had some on tap… what floaty stuff?

We take extra measures to finely strain any kombucha going in a keg. The last thing we want is to clog the line, preventing you from getting some of our delicious kombucha! So don’t worry, it’s the real stuff still full of nutrients.

I tried your kombucha, fell in love, only to never find the flavor again. what do i do?

No one likes a sad ending to a love story. Send us an email. We will do our best to try and recreate the flavor you love. Please keep in mind that we often base our flavors on what’s in season and may have limited quantities.

I forgot to refrigerate my kombucha…can I still drink it?

Obviously we can’t stop you, but we don’t recommend it. Once that drink gets too warm it begins to shift and change. It typically starts fermenting, which completely changes the beverage.

fermented, you say? Will this stuff get me drunk?

In short, no. Our kombucha contains trace amounts of alcohol and is safe to drink for the whole family.
